Lugano-Switzerland, 13th December 2006, BOARD International, the leading global provider of BI and CPM toolkit software, announces that it has been positioned in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for CPM Suites, 2006.

BOARD was one of 16 CPM Suites positioned in the magic quadrant based on key criteria including Market Presence, Product Capabilities and Vendor Viability.

According to Gartner, the CPM Market continues to exhibit healthy growth and results taken from “Surveys at Gartner's Business Intelligence Summits in 2006 confirmed that corporate performance management is the highest-priority area for companies considering analytic applications.”*
Throughout the last year, BOARD has continued to gain ground in the CPM marketplace, establishing a direct presence in APAC and in France, strengthening its activities in the U.S., and increasing licence revenue by over 20%.

Board's continued growth in an ever expanding market has allowed the company to meet the inclusion criteria.
“We feel Gartner's placement of BOARD in the Magic Quadrant for CPM is an indication of the way we contribute to the success of our customers – helping them really drive and achieve Business Performance across the entire enterprise.’said Giovanni Grossi, Chief Executive Officer of Board International. “I believe that the ‘toolkit approach’ and the ability to provide a single integrated platform for planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, profitability modelling, financial and statutory reporting have been our key strategic differentiators.

”However, this achievement is just the first step”Grossi continued. “Board is committed to building upon its momentum, integrating the toolkit approach with the delivery of packaged application functionality, beginning with a Financial Consolidation solution available by the end of January.”

About the CPM Market
“Corporate performance management (CPM) includes processes, such as strategy formulation, budgeting and forecasting; methodologies that drive some of the processes, such as the balanced scorecard or value-based management; and the metrics used to measure performance against strategic and operational performance goals. However, to be effective, CPM must be supported by a suite of analytical applications that provide the functionality to support these processes, methodologies and metrics. The focus of CPM suite functionality is on uniting financial consolidation and reporting with the processes and systems used to support strategic planning and financial budgeting. This creates a consistent view of business performance across internal and external reporting. Implementations of CPM suites are typically led by the CFO and the finance organization, but the most successful CPM implementations extend beyond a pure financial focus to link to other aspects of performance management so that, for example, financial budgeting is directly linked to operational aspects of planning.”*
